Creative Commons Fantasy Portrait Marathon

So I'm doing some portraits for an Open Source computer game in development and I decided to start a Kickstarter to help me raise money to attend classes at Concept Design Academy and Art Center at Night in the Spring Term. So if you have any interest in having yourself painted as a Fantasy Hero to be featured in a free and open source computer game, check out the Kickstarter! 50 bucks is pretty cheap for a personal portrait, not to mention one that will be used in a fun game. Sounds like a cool Christmas Gift to me, plus you'd be helping me pursue my education! Anyways, here's the example I did to illustrate the general look I'll be going for with the series (it's a self portrait).

New Figger Drawlings

Did these today. Mostly lay-ins and on with some tone added. My figure drawing is improving an extraordinary amount under Kevin's tutelage.

Viscomm Trans Design Final Renders

Two weeks of sketching cars for viscomm, this is the final sketch rendering for my vehicle. It's a futuristic vehicle that drives itself, it has no windshield but instead has to camera banks on the front of the car to drive it. I don't think they're too bad for an afternoons worth of work.

More Figure

Here's some new figure stuff. Kevin Chen is a beast and I am improving more in his class than I have in semester after semester at other places. Below are a few drawings I did today. Lots of errors, and plenty to be worked on, but just the way my work is transforming despite my lack of polish is really exciting to me.

My favorites are the second class when I was warmed up and we had a model who looked like he walked out of Cimmeria, the guy looked like a stand in for a frank frazetta hero.

Old stuff

I decided to post some old digital paintings. Mostly character stuff. Not because I think it's any good but to show progress and to have perspective when I look back from future posts.

Vis Comm and Figure

Here's some homework and life drawings, nothing too impressive but I'm trying to keep myself posting and not just wait for my best stuff.
